The Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC) introduced at CES a new steering wheel control (SWC) interface that may be programmed by installers by using a tablet or phone (instead of a PC). So the SWC can be programmed from virtually anywhere.
Called ControlPRO, the device is used to permit a car’s factory steering wheel buttons to work with an aftermarket car radio.
It interfaces with almost any car that has steering wheel controls once programmed via an Apple or Android device using a USB adapter, and an app. It may also be programmed via a Windows PC.
The ControlPRO will be available at $119.95. It may be seen at booth 2808 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
