Radar detector maker ESCORT at CES this week is offering a limited edition version of is digital radar detector, the Passport Max, with custom case covers in different colors: Glossy Black, Brilliant Blue, Burled Wood and Carbon Fiber. They retail for $599.95 (the basic version is $549.95).
The Max, introduced in June, converts analog radar waves to digital signals, which makes it easier to screen out false alerts. The company claims this results in the fastest response time; longest reception range; and best sensitivity for detecting never-before-seen low level signals.
ESCORT said the Max digital radar detector has been reviewed as the best performing detector on the market by Car and Driver, Popular Mechanics, and CNET.
ESCORT will display at CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North hall, booth 1220.
