Vizualogic introduced at the SEMA Show last week a SmartView automotive four-camera system for providing views around the car for safety and convenience.

The cameras mount on the front and rear of the car and below the side mirrors. All four video views can merge, so you can view the camera images in single, dual, triple or quad mode (the video inputs merge into one video output signal).

The cameras include night vision viewing.  They tie into the dash screen on your car or an aftermarket screen including a rear view mirror with built-in screen from Vizualogic (optional).

The four-camera system carries a price of $799.

Also at SEMA, Vizualogic added a DVD player to its SmartLogic rear headrest tablet system for back seat video and entertainment.

“As far as we know, we are the only one to integrate DVD with a tablet system,” said a spokesman.

A USB connected DVD ROM drive can be added to the system and may be custom installed into the headrest.

“We’re finding that car dealers are still reluctant to give up DVD players. There’s still a lot of children’s titles out there,” added the spokesman.

Vizualogic’s WiFi enabled tablet back seat video system with the DVD player sells at $1,799 including two tablets, two headrests and integrated DVD player, two wireless headphones and tablet cases plus earbuds.

The tablet/headrest systems currently are designed for about 85 percent of domestic and import vehicles, said the company.
