Apple will hold its long-awaited press event Tuesday, when it is expected to reveal a new iPhone 5S and lower cost iPhone 5C. The phones may be available as early as September 20, according to reports.
The new iPhone 5S should feature new iOS 7 software, a fingerprint scanner, double the RAM and an improved 4G LTE receiver, according to BRG.com. Also expect a faster processor with better graphics ability and upgraded camera.
The iPhone 5C is expected to be a bit larger than the 5S and to sport a plastic case. Numerous reports say it will be available in 5 colors: white, yellow, green, pink and blue. Its standout feature is to be lower price. BGR speculates a price at around $400 before subsidies by the wireless carriers, compared to the standard iPhone 5 base price of $650 before subsidies by the carriers.
