CLEARWATER, FL – iSimple officially introduced its newest integration kit, the InSeam.
An Innovations Award winner at the 2013 Consuner Electronics Show, the InSeam (ISFM2201) adds a Bluetooth connection to most vehicles to permit streaming audio and hands-free calling through the car’s sound system. It also lets users send text messages, update social media status, launch apps and more with the touch of a button using a smartphone’s personal assistant/voice recognition (VR) software; specifically Siri on the iPhone, S-Voice on Galaxy phones, and Google now on other Android devices. The InSeam has a MSRP of $189.95 and is currently available for order from iSimple.
InSeam may be added simply to virtually any factory or aftermarket car radio. The kit consists of a module that combines the functions of a steering wheel control interface, a direct-connect FM modulator and a Bluetooth transmitter, and a low-profile windproof microphone. The steering wheel control button launches voice control so that the driver can have text messages read to him/her, reply to text messages, launch navigation or music apps, update social media status and much, much more.
Additionally, the InSeam works with a free app that helps the user activate features that further promote driver safety. Once installed, the InSeam App walks the user through finding the best frequency for the InSeam to use for audio playback, phone calls and voice commands, as well as pair devices via Bluetooth. Additionally, the InSeam App can use the phone’s accelerometer to block text messages once it detects the vehicle moving at a user-determined speed. A user’s guide and firmware updater are also accessible via the app.
