Pictures of Motorola’s soon to be released “Moto X” surfaced last week with Google Chairman Eric Schmidt appearing at a conference with the supposed phone in hand.
According to one leak, the phone will have an “always on” voice command mode. Users need only say, “Ok Google Now….” to initiate commands, says The Verge citing a leaked video from Canadian wireless carrier Rogers.
Other leaks say the device will be built in the U.S and include a 720p display. It will run on a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, and include a 10-megapixel camera. Other specs include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, according to BGR.com.
Motorola, owned by Google, plans to spend $500 million to promote the upcoming phone, reported The Wall Street Journal last week. The blockbuster budget is intended to give the phone a fighting chance against Apple and Samsung rivals.
