VAIS Technology has simplified its SiriusXM add-on kits for Toyota.
It now offers one kit that works with either Sirius or XM, combining two former stock keeping units into one.
The new VAIS SL3sat kit lets you control SiriusXM through the factory radio of a Toyota or Lexus vehicle using either steering wheel controls, the touch screen or the radio knob.
It combines with an aftermarket SXV200 satellite radio tuner to add SiriusXM directly through most Toyota/Lexus 2001 and newer factory radios through plug and play cables.
Presets for satellite radio appear on the radio screen. Drivers can use the tuning knob for quick browsing through channels, including by category.
All factory radio functions are retained including a CD changer or a rear seat entertainment system.
The retail price is $249 for the VAIS interface kit.
