Intraphex announced a new, single integration module that works with the entire line of Ford and Lincoln vehicles with 8-inch MyFord Touch or MyLincoln Touch screens (2011 and up).
The new module allows the addition of aftermarket in-dash navigation to the Ford/Lincoln system. The navigation works seamlessly with the car’s factory touch screen and all audio cues are announced through the car’s sound system.
The module (Total Integration Module or TIM) also allows the addition of a reverse triggered backup camera or it works with the existing factory backup camera.
Don Zaney, Chief Technical Officer of Intraphex said, “One part will fit all the applicable vehicles for both the integration of navigation and for factory audio integration. This makes it simple and easy for installation and for the ordering process. One size fits all.”
The Ford/Lincoln module is the first in the new Intraphex TIM line. The TIM modules will use vehicle specific harnesses to offer plug and play installation in different vehicles.
Intraphex plans to announce shipping dates for three more TIM systems for GM vehicles. A model TD-GM2013MYLINK-V2 will provide integration with the MyLink touch screen in vehicles with a standalone screen (Malibu, Equinox, Camaro, Cruze, Volt, GMC Terrain, Buick Lacrosse, Verano and Regal) and the TD-GM2013LAMBDA-V2 will integrate with the MyLink touch screens in Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
A third kit, TD-CADICUE2013-V2, will work with Cadillac CUE systems in the ATS, SRX and XTS and will ship by June 15th 2013.
The Ford TIM system (p/n: TD-FORD2013-V2) is shipping now.
