JUPITER, FL —
Audio America, a home and car electronics distributor for the Southeast United States, announced today that industry veteran Jonathan Elster has been named Chief Executive Officer, replacing former CEO Ryan Munder who will remain as Chairman.
“We could not have selected a better person for this position,” said Munder. “Jonathan brings tremendous leadership, experience, and vision to the organization. His energy and enthusiasm is apparent and I know he will lead us to incredible heights and even greater success.”
Elster brings over 18 years of management and leadership experience in the technology and consumer electronics industry, having served in a variety of roles with SED International, Inc., a leading distributor serving the U.S. and Latin American markets, most recently as President and CEO.
“I am thrilled to join such a strong and well respected organization with great people, partners and customers,” said Elster. “I look forward to working with the Audio America team to continue growing and expanding our business well into the future.”
“We recently opened a state-of-the-art distribution center in Atlanta, GA and have dedicated a tremendous amount of human and financial capital to ensure our successful expansion in the Southeast,” said Munder. “This dedication is further exemplified with the addition of Jonathan, who has developed extensive customer and vendor relationships over his career. With Audio America’s platform for growth solidified, the Munder family felt it was time to pursue additional investments. Additionally, the Munder Family ownership structure remains unchanged.”
