GROM announced a new kit that permits Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep owners to connect their Android devices directly to their in-car stereo systems for complete media control.
In addition, GROM announced a ‘user experience video contest’ for a chance to win Nexus 7.
With the newly released GROM-USB2P Android integration kit for some Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles, Android devices such as smartphones and tablets, including the latest Samsung Galaxy S3 and Google Nexus, connect directly to the car audio system for music, Internet radio and Bluetooth.
The kit allows full control over media files from the car stereo or steering wheel buttons, and delivers higher sound quality, and Bluetooth technology for in-car hands-free calling and wireless audio.
It works with factory stereos in 2002-2005 models.
In total, GROM now supports more than 30 vehicles and continually works to add more cars to its list of compatible models.
Additionally, GROM Audio announced a “Product User Experience Video Contest” to engage and learn about their customers’ experience with the company’s product line. The winner will receive 16GB Nexus 7 tablet. The contest started on February 27th and will run for three weeks, until March 21st. GROM launched its first Android Direct In-Car Integration kit in early 2012. Its full line also includes adapters for USB sticks, MP3 players, and iPods or iPhones to the original car stereo. In addition, GROM offers Bluetooth solutions for in-car hands-free calling and wireless audio.
