Directed said it is now shipping full quantities of its new Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) device that unlocks your car doors automatically as you approach the car, without the need to press any buttons.
One of the strengths of the system is that it can work with just about any vehicle, even though it’s an aftermarket device, said Directed.
“Directed innovated by harnessing this technology and making it perform consistently,” said Peter Fazi, VP Business Development.
When used with a Directed security system, the PKE also arms and disarms the aftermarket security system.
“What makes the PKE unique is Directed’s “Data-to-Data” D2D port, making the PKE faster and easier to install by the technician at the retailer,” said the company. It also uses an RF pass-through, so it can be used with any Directed systems by plugging it in – with no additional wires to connect.
It also works with the Directed SmartStart to remote start the car from a phone.
