Lightning Audio announced that it is now shipping the LA-ONE, -TWO and –THREE subwoofer lines it first announced this summer.
The LA-ONE (L1-S410; L1-S412) in 10- and 12-inch sizes offer stitched tinsel leads to reduce mass, and stress and strain over a greater area, and a 1.5-inch voice coil venting to help eliminate thermal issues and increase power handling. It also has a 16 gauge compound steel basket with high density poly-foam surround. Lightning says the single voice coil subwoofers operate up to 100 degrees F cooler at full power levels. Power handling is rated at 150 watts RMS and pricing ranges from $89.95 to $99.95 MAP.
The LA-TWO (L2-D210; L2-D410; L2-D212; L2-D412) come in 10- and 12-inch sizes and step up to a 2-inch, dual voice coil venting. The subwoofers also come in dual 2 or 4 ohm versions and handle 250 watts RMS at MAP prices from $129.95 to $139.95.
The LA-THREE (L3-D210; L3-D410; L3-D212; L3-D412) feature dual linear spiders with multipoint stitched 16 AWG tinsel leads that improve mechanical stability under high excursion. They offer a 2.5-inch dual voice coils with a double stacked oversized motor structure for high power handling and added efficiency. Also in dual 2 or 4 ohm versions, handling 400 watts RMS, they range in price from $109.95 to $219.95 MAP.
