Accessory maker Belkin said it is the first non-Apple supplier to offer Apple-sanctioned Lightning accessories for the iPhone 5.
It announced two accessories including a $29.99 Belkin Car Charger that includes a hardwired 4-foot Lightning cable. The 2.1 amp Lightning device plugs into the cigarette lighter for charging and it has over-voltage protection.
It’s joined the Belkin Charge + Sync dock at the same price. Unlike the car charger, this dock uses a separate Lightning connector cable . It’s case-compatible with a foldaway auxiliary jack.
Both units are available for pre-order now and will ship on or before November 15, said Belkin.
