Crimestopper is offering upgraded remote start and security systems, many of which can now work with a smartphone.
New remote starters under the Pro Start line (for dealers) and Cool Start line (for distributors) offer improved range and are now upgradeable from a 1-way to a 2 –way system.
The 1-way system transmits up to 2,300 feet from the vehicle and the new 2-way LCD remotes will transmit up to 3,500 feet away.
The 4 new remote starters under the LC, DS and RS lines have data ports to work with data modules from Fortin and ADS to simplify installation. They also work with Crimestopper’s remote-start-from-a-phone interfaces (called the MS-1 and MS-2). The line starts at $159.95 for a 1-way remote start.
Also from Crimestopper are new combination remote start and security systems. The SP-502 is a 2-way model with an LCD screen that alerts you when you are out of range. It also shows battery signal strength, has a newly designed, sturdier case and 3,500 foot range at $299.95. It can interface with a smartphone and work with Fortin and ADS data modules. The SP-402 1-way version sells for $249.95
In security systems with keyless entry, Crimestopper has a new 1-way SP-202 system that also works with data Fortin and ADS data modules and may be converted to a 2-way system. It carries a suggested retail price of $129.95.
