Audiovox to Ship New Slim Headrests, OE Fit Radios

Audiovox Electronics announced at KnowledgeFest that it will deliver within 45 days a new, sleeker headrest/monitor system for back seat entertainment.

Audiovox ElectronicsThe new design reduces the need for oversized headrests to accommodate the monitor and electronics.   The system also uses LED backlighting for a more vivid picture and to lengthen the life span of the screen, said Audiovox.

The replacement headrests also now match the shape and size of the factory headrests as well as matching the color, grain, stitching, trim and material. They come in different monitor and DVD configurations and work with an optional “Game Pack” that includes a plug-in game module with 54, 32-bit video games.

The HR7012 Slim Series includes two 7-inch DVD monitors with adjustable tilt screens and a USB input with charging.  Also included are a full band 100-channel wireless FM transmitter, and a user-accessible AV input.  The custom headrest system covers over 1,000 vehicle types at a suggested retail price of $1,549.99.

Also at KnowledgeFest, Audiovox expanded its Advent factory look-a-like replacement radio line with several new models shipping this fall.  A new Toyota replacement AV/navigation radiohas a 6.5 in ch screen and features Pandora control and built-in Parrot Bluetooth with an external microphone. Model  OTOMF1,it uses iGO Primo Navigation software is Made for iPod and iPhone ready and has a Toyota-specific Medialink. It works with the 2007 – 2012 FJ Cruiser, 2012 Corolla, 2003-2009 4Runner, 2007-2012 Scion tC and 2004-2010 Scion xB/xD and 2013 Scion FRS.

Also under the Advent OE look-a-like radio line are new models for the Ford F150 and Ford Focus that can work with cars with or without the SYNC system.  They display all SYNC messages including Bluetooth and retain factory USB connectors.
