Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC) is now shipping a trigger module that can be installed in nearly any vehicle and is usable in a wide variety of applications including a turn-on/off delay and door lock pulse generator. The trigger can also be programmed using a PC or Android device.
The TR7-PRO universal trigger output module has 8 inputs that can be triggered by current or ground, and 4 outputs that can be programmed as either a positive or ground output for pulsed, constant, timed or ground applications. Inputs and outputs can also be daisy-chained to perform more complex series of operations.
The module also comes with 3 factory presets for bypassing video lockout feature on Alpine, Pioneer and Clarion head units when used on displays or in RV applications where the video display is not in the view of the driver.
The TR7-PRO has a unique feature that allows it to be programmed and tested using a PC or Android device. Once the user has installed the TR7-PRO interface on a PC, the inputs and outputs can be programmed in a variety of ways via the included USB cable. Similarly, the unit can be programmed via Android app available from Google Play. Once programmed, the TR7-PRO is equipped with four side-mounted LEDs that can be used as visual confirmation that the outputs are configured properly.
