Rockford’s Lightning Audio brand will introduce a new LA-ONE subwoofer series during MERA KnowledgeFest this weekend.
The single voice coil, 4 ohm subwoofers offer 300 watt power handling. They are slated for shipping in October in 10- and 12-inch sizes.
LA-ONE subwoofers have stitched tinsel leads to reduce mass, stress, and strain over a greater area, and a 1.5-inch voice coil venting to help eliminate thermal issues and to increase power handling. They also have 16 gauge compound steel baskets for extra rigidity to improve accuracy.
Anodized aluminum voice coil formers provide superior heat dissipation up to 100 degrees F cooler at full power levels, said Lightning.
