Morel’s broad 2012 product introduction, first announced at the Consumer Electronics Show last January, officially becomes available during KnowledgeFest, starting August 18.
The lineup includes 6 series of products in different price categories from $149 to $5000. The lines have been expanded to fit into various new car applications and they include more lower cost offerings.
The 2012 products include new tweeter mounting options, and new grille technology to minimize the effect of traditional speaker grilles, which produce distortion and act as sound barriers.
The lineup has greater power handling and dynamic range and provides better efficiency, says Morel.
The speakers also use new MXR crossover technology that helps overcome acoustic challenges in the car.
Some standout models include the Supremo 602 2-way component, which won a 2012 CES Innovation Award and a Virtus 603, 3-way component system.
At KnowledgeFest, Morel will give away a few sets of the new speakers. The company will display at Knowledgefest at booth no. 1001.
