Vista, CA – Directed has swept the Mobile Electronics vendor awards set to be presented on Aug. 19 at MERA KnowledgeFest in Grapevine, Texas.

In an overwhelming statement, industry professionals voted for the company to receive top honors in five out of five categories: Technical Support, Sales Support, Marketing Support, Retail Protection and Warranty Support.

“The dealers have spoken and we’re very proud to receive this recognition,” Directed President Mike Simmons said. “This is a sign that we’re listening to our dealers and that our Dealers’ Bill of Rights is working. I’m very proud of every member of the Directed team who contributed to making us number one in dealer support in the mobile electronics industry.”

Mobile Electronics magazine announced the results of the 2011-2012 Vendor Awards on Monday, Aug. 13.

“Congratulations to Directed for its remarkable achievement,” ME Editor-in-Chief Solomon Daniels said.

Want to Train With No. 1? Directed Heads to KnowledgeFest

Directed will be participating and offering trainings at the KnowledgeFest event, taking place Aug. 18–21 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center near Dallas.

Just in time for the run-up to the remote start season, Directed will be featuring exciting updates on its XpressSTART product – which saves installers over an hour of installation time with a sleek plug-in solution, and also saves time on future warranty work with a more secure installation.

Directed will also showcase updates to its XpressKit toolbox for certified dealers.

Look for the Directed booth at KnowledgeFest: It will be booth Number 501, located right near the entrance and practically the first thing attendants will see when they walk in.

Directed’s calendar events at KnowledgeFest include:

  • Saturday, August 18: Directed will host a training seminar; Chris Fierek, director of marketing, will give an in-depth demonstration on the XpressSTART and how it can save installers loads of time during day-to-day remote start and security installations. Look for this training in the evening after 5:00 p.m. in the Grapevine One room.
  • Monday, August 20: Look for “Discovering Wires and Signals” on Monday morning during the normal education tracks. Directed’s MECP Master/Field Trainer Andy Hartshorne will be hosting this training in conjunction with Derek Schmiedl from NAV-TV.
