Sony will release this fall a handful of new receivers, including a CDX-GT575 with “universal smartphone” connectivity.
The GT-575 works with Android, iPhone, and Blackberry phones and it permits Pandora streaming from an iPhone. It has a front USB input and variable illumination and is aimed at car audio specialist retailers at $119.
Other new models are:
CDX-GT570UP and CDX-GT57UP
Stream Pandora from an iPhone and get USB iPod/iPhone control. The CDX-GT570MP is aimed at car audio specialists at $99 and the CDX-GT57UP has national distribution at $89.99.
CDX-GT470UM
Front USB, MP3 playback. This receiver is NOT compatible with Apple products. It’s aimed at general retailers at $89.99.
CDX-GT270MP
MP3 playback and front aux- in jack at $69.
