Cobra is shipping the first of its new Vedetta radar detectors originally shown in January at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The detectors use a multi-axis hinge so that you can mount the display in one of several locations on the windshield and still see the display. If you mount it low on the windshield, you can avoid cords draping down in plain view.
The new Vedetta SLR 650R also claims to improve range and warning time by 30 percent over Cobra’s previous detectors.
The Vedetta line also includes a 2.4 inch color rotating TFT LCD display. It has POP Mode radar detection, and includes a data base of speed/red light cameras. It has a street price of $299.95.
