Car Audio Stores See 172% Jump on Shopatron

Shopatron announced that car audio stores who work with its online shopping service increased sales by 172 percent through the service in Q1 2012 compared to Q1 a year ago.  (So same store car audio retailers saw their Shopatron sales jump by triple digits over last year).

Shopatron car audio brandsIn fact, car audio stores saw the highest increase in sales transacted on Shopatron out of any other product category for the quarter.

Shopatron allows brands such as Alpine and JL Audio to sell their products on a web site, but fulfill those orders through their dealer network.

Shopatron currently works with 10 car audio brands who partner with over 600 car audio dealers to complete the orders.

Viewed over the past 2 years, car audio suppliers have seen a revenue jump of 29 percent from January 2010 to December 2011 in their Shopatron sales, said the service.  During the same  period, Shopatron orders increased by 23 percent for those suppliers.

Shopatron notes that “online retail” is the fastest growing sales channel in the car audio industry.

In addition to Alpine and JL Audio, car audio brands working with Shopatron include Arc Audio, Focal America, Hushmat and K40.

Founded in 2001, Shopatron works with over 1,000 brands and 20,000 retail partners across more than 40 industries. Clients include Bosch, Suzuki, Polaroid, Mizuno, Ducati, JL Audio, K2, Roland and Sport Chalet. The company has headquarters in San Luis Obispo, California.
