Phoenix Gold (Aamp of America) is introducing its first mini car amplifiers as part of its SD-Series of Class D amplifiers. The two mini models are each about the size of a paper back book so they may fit into cramped installations.
The pair includes the SD3001, rated at 300 watts mono and the SD200.2, a two-channel, 200 watt version. They are styled with smoked, translucent plexiglass tops and measure about 7 by 7 inches and 2 inches thick.
They are joined by two additional SD-Series amps including the 5-channel SD1300.5, rated at 1,300 watts. A mono version is the SD1300.1, also at 1,300 watts. Shipping and pricing will be announced.
