PowerBass USA will add to its Pro Audio lineup with a new series of speakers to be unveiled at the CES show next week.
The line includes a horn driver designed to operate at 4 ohms called the XPRO-4H. It’s a die cast aluminum tweeter that can handle 150 watts RMS and reach a loud 106dB (+/- 2dB). It has a 1.75” high temperature Kapton voice coil former and a double stack ferrite magnet assembly. The horn tweeter is expected to ship later this month at a suggested retail price of $79.95 each.
Joining it are 6 new midrange car speakers that offer higher power handling and increased dynamic range. They come in 6.5”, 8” and 10” diameters and will be offered in single 4- or 8 ohm versions. Each model is packaged individually so the dealer may design a custom system tailored to the buyer’s needs. Pricing starts at $49.95 each and shipping is in February and March.
The new XPRO Series will fall under the PowerBass Xtreme category, so dealers get a 3-year warranty if professional installation criteria are met.
