Directed launched a $100 mail-in rebate for its SmartStartGPS system that lets you remote start a car from a smartphone and also track the car from the phone.
The rebate brings the starting price of the product itself down to $199 for those who buy it along with a 3-year premium service plan (at $239.99 or $6.67 per month). The rebate is good through January 31, 2012.
There is also a “Win a Free SmartStart” sweepstakes that may be entered in stores or online. The grand prize includes a complete SmartStart security and remote start system, plus Polk Audio home entertainment products, together worth $5,000.
