November 8, 2011 – Santa Clarita, Calif. – Encore Automotive Systems, supplier of premium vehicle security and enhancement products, announced that the E2, its standalone remote start and keyless entry system, is available and shipping from its California warehouse.
The E2 features two four-button remote controls with bright blue status LEDs that mimic the OEM experience to provide separate buttons for lock, unlock, trunk / hatch release and remote start. However, the internals highlight true aftermarket innovation: 433mHz frequency and ASK long-range technology minimize interference to deliver up to 1/2-mile range, and 66-bit random “code-hopping” and anti-scan functionality ensure that the remotes cannot be copied by high-tech thieves.
The full-featured remote start system is compatible with most vehicles and includes a two-way data port for connection to plug-and play interfaces from idataLink. Installation conveniences also include 5 onboard relays, Molex connectors, dual-polarity lock wires, factory alarm control connections and more. The E2 also features the programmable ability to “wake” the Body Control Module (BCM) for feature access, and a new programmable second ignition (IGN2) output.
