Apple finally sent out press invitations for an event next Tuesday, October 4 to ‘talk’ about a new iPhone.
Also at the event, Facebook is expected to announce an iPad app and a newly designed iPhone app as it strives to become the social network of the mobile universe, reports Mashable.
We still don’t know whether Apple will introduce more than one phone (including a lower cost version of the iPhone 4), and if it will support 4G. Rumors persist that the new iPhone will be offered by Sprint, in addition to AT&T and Verizon.
No doubt, until next Tuesday, we’ll be hearing the usual frenzy of speculation as well as ongoing guesses at what the picture on the invite (above) symbolizes.
