Alpine has joined up with Shopatron to let consumers buy products directly from its Web site, but the product must be picked up at a local Alpine dealer.
JL Audio and Directed Electronics, also use Shopatron’s system, which lets dealers benefit directly from the Web traffic that a company receives on its Web site. It also helps bring in new customers.
When a customer purchases a car stereo product from Alpine, the system directs him to a local retailer to pick up the product.
