Kenwood, Advent Start ’11 Delivery

Kenwood is delivering 5 Excelon head units including its first Pandora car radio–the flagship KDC-X995 ($380 SRP).

Advent (Audiovox) has also begun delivery on 8 OEM look-a-like navigation/radios for Toyota, Hyundai, GM and VW car models.

Kenwood’s flagship KDC-X995 offers built-in Bluetooth and HD Radio in addition to Pandora. It’s joined by a KDC-X895 ($290) with built-in Bluetooth and three additional car CD receivers from $190 to $250.

Eight other Pandora head units are planned for delivery this year, said Kenwood in January.

The Advent line of OE replacement decks include built-in navigation and built-in Parrot Bluetooth with an external mic. They have high res touch screen displays and are iPhone and iPod video capable. They are also XM ready and have rear view camera technology.
