Sirius XM has combined its Sirius and XM Web sites (until now separate) into a single Sirius XM web portal, and it is taking other steps to combine the Sirius and XM services.

First, Sirius.com and XMRadio.com “are now history. In their place is a cleaner, more stylishly designed website,” reported Satellite Radio Playground as the new Sirius XM site went live on Friday.

Second, Sirius and XM’s online players were upgraded to a unified Sirius XM platform. You can now also purchase songs heard through either Apple iTunes or Amazon, said Satellite Radio Playground.

Third, Satellite Radio Playground reports that a Sirius table top radio has been renamed as the Sirius-XM Tabletop Radio. The device previously connected only to Sirius’ premium radio online service but now offers XM radio online capability too.

Fourth, the satellite radio company told some of its retailers that station numbers for Sirius and XM channels will change this spring to more closely match each other, as part of Satellite Radio 2.0. Sirius XM would not comment on the report.

Fifth, production on all Sirius dock and play radios has been discontinued, according to Satellite Radio Playground.
