A likely sign of things to come in the U.S., Sharp will soon offer 2 phones with 3D screens that don’t require special glasses and which take 3D photos. For now, they are aimed only at the Japanese market.

The 2 Android 2.2 phones use an autostereoscopic 3D display developed by Sharp so there’s no need for 3D glasses, said PC World. Both models have 3.8-inch screens, and use 1GHZ Snapdragon processors. They will also include WiFi and GPS capability.

A Galapagos 003SH comes with a 9.6 megapixel camera, and the ability to record 720p video footage. The Galapagos 005SH is differentiated by a fully QWERTY keyboard and slightly lower-res 8.0 megapixel camera. They will be available in Japan in December and January, respectively.
