MacRumors has gotten hold of a notice to Walmart store managers that the Apple tablet will start rolling into stores next week and it will reach 1,000 stores by the end of October. More stores should be added in November, as well. Store displays include a live demo unit.
Walmart is expected to carry all versions of the iPad including WiFi and 3G models plus accessories.
So in addition to Target and Best Buy getting the iPad this Christmas along with select regional chains, we may see up to 1,800 Walmart carrying the device by the end of November estimates MacRumors.
