AudioControl is introducing a new low cost, simpler OEM integration device—the LC2i—at the KnowledgeFest car electronics trade show next week in Dallas.
The LC2i is aimed mainly at customers who just want to add a subwoofer to their factory system and it sets a new low price floor for AudioControl
OEM integration devices at a $99 every day price. It’s also the first AudioControl model with a new AccuBass feature that restores the bass that is usually stripped out by factory car stereo systems.
The 2-channel LC2i is a line output converter. It takes the factory radio’s speaker level signals and converts them to RCA signals so you can add a retail amplifier and then speakers.
Like other AudioControl LC-series models, the LC2i uses active signal processing to correct for signal processing used by the factory radio, but the LC2i is AudioControl’s first two-channel and lower cost version.
It accepts speaker-level signals of up to 400 watts per channel. Shipping is this month.
