Rosen is shipping an ultra-thin back seat video system for Mercedes Benz vehicles, with a new mounting system so you don’t have to disassemble the seat.
The new AV7700 video system includes a pair of 7-inch monitor pods that are only 1.5-inches thick and that mount behind the Mercedes’ active headrests. The system also includes a top-load DVD player and 25 video games built into each pod. It also provides a USB port and aux-in jack, and an FM transmitter.
The mounting kit comes in colors to match Mercedes C-, E, GL-, FLK, M- and R-class vehicles. The AV7700 will also be available for BMW and Lexus vehicles in the near term. Rosen will also offer a new universal mount to apply the AV7700 to all cars with detachable headrests.
Other system features include a wireless controller, additional remote aux input and 2 A/V outputs. Suggested retail price is $1,999.
