Best Buy is getting ready to stock several tablet brands, and may offer a model under its Rocketfish house brand.

The big box retailer already carries the iPad but plans to focus heavily on tablets this holiday season and will add to its assortment, it told Forbes.

Best Buy Mobile president Shawn Score said of tablets, “We will have a great assortment of them. It won’t be 32, but it also won’t be one, like we have today.”

He declined to identify which models Best Buy will stock, but added, “Customers need to have choice on operating systems. If I’m an Android phone user and an Android tablet comes out, I might choose it. If I’m a BlackBerry user and a BlackBerry tablet launches, I might want that.”

Best Buy chief technology officer Robert Stephens also recently hinted via Twitter of a Rocketfish branded tablet, Forbes said.

Best Buy plans to sell tablets in both its 108 Mobile stores and its regular retail stores.
