Ford Sync Gets Voice Control for Apps

Ford is cranking out those Sync announcements and now it’s revealed the Pandora/Stitcher/Twitter-Feed voice control it showed in January will officially reach users when the 2011 Ford Fiesta ships later this year. (See video below).
It will only work initially on Android and BlackBerry smartphones but next year it will migrate to the iPhone and other smarthphones as well as ALL Sync-equipped vehicles, said Ford. As you drive you control the apps by your voice so you can hear your Twitter-feed read aloud (through an OpenBeak app) and you can cruise through Pandora or get news on Stitcher. You can also control the apps via the steering wheel controls. The Sync will control other apps by voice in the future, said Ford.
Ford calls the app voice control AppLink.
