CRUX Interfacing Solutions introduced a backup camera interface for late model General Motors vehicles that programs through an OBD2 port module.

The OBD2 module  instructs the radio to recognize the backup camera in a process that takes about 30 seconds.  Then you remove the module and plug the camera into the factory harness at the back of the radio.

“This new interface just like our other OBD Programmers provides expeditors and retailers a quicker, easier and more affordable way to add a rear camera to new GM vehicles,” said CRUX’s Rich DeSclafani.

The new  GM MyLINK RVCGM-80I requires no dealer programming. It is compatible with the following Chevrolet/GMC vehicles with the MyLink radio with an 8-inch color screen (RPO Codes IO5 and IO6).
