Kia announced a free upgrade to CarPlay and Android Auto for many of its cars with the UVO infotainment system or compatible navigation.
Some cars dating back to the 2014 model year will be eligible for the downloadable update.
Car owners will be notified by the end of July if their car falls under the upgrade or they may go to myuvo.com. Step by step instructions for downloading software are provided.

- Forte (MY17)
- Optima (MY15-16)
- Optima Hybrid (MY15-16)
- Sedona (MY15-16)
- Soul (MY14-16)
- Soul EV (MY15-16)
- Sorento (MY16)
- Sportage (MY17)
