The Wholesale House to shutter Florida warehouse.

One of the largest car audio distributors, The Wholesale House, based in Hicksville, Ohio announced it will close its Jacksonville, FL warehouse after 30 years.  Operations will be folded into the company’s Ohio facility.

The Florida warehouse will close December 31, 2025. Mark Weatherhead, Executive VP-CFO said, “We’re consolidating to try to operate more efficiently…  We would end up transferring product quite often down there, duplicating our efforts.  We’re trying to streamline our efforts and reduce the cost of doing business.”

The Wholesale House’s Ohio warehouse is a 90,000 square foot facility and has been in operation for 47 years. The Florida warehouse is 25,000 sq feet.

“We cannot fully express our gratitude to our valued partners for the three decades of success we’ve shared at our Jacksonville location,” the company stated. “It has truly been our pleasure serving you from Florida,” said the company.

The Wholesale House distributes car and marine audio as well as automotive products. It has also branched into outdoor equipment such as hunting and fishing gear and power tools.  12-volt brands include Orion, Maxxsonics, Blaupunkt,  JVC, Audiopipe, DS18, and BOSS are among others.
