DroneMobile Adds Vehicle Health Info

Firstech ships Drone X2MAX-LTE telematics add on.

Firstech, maker of DroneMobile and Compustar, announced shipment of the Drone X2MAX-LTE telematics device for vehicles that lets users and fleet managers see the health of their vehicles.

As other DroneMobile devices, it also offers GPS tracking and cellphone remote start.

X2MAX-LTE is an LTE and GPS connected device that can be installed in any vehicle by hardwire (included) or OBD-II wiring kit (included) to connect to the CAN network.

It allows advanced vehicle health data for most vehicles. Users can monitor fuel level, tire pressure, true odometer and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).  Vehicle coverage for these features can be downloaded from https://my.firste.ch/dronemobile-obd-ii-coverage.

Additional features:

  1. Real-time vehicle tracking – Open the DroneMobile App and see your vehicle’s location, engine status, speed, and heading with a tap of a button.
  2. Integration with alarm and remote start systems – Enable vehicle control and remote start by connecting the Drone X2MAX to a compatible Firstech remote starter or alarm.
  3. Flexible pricing plans – Exclusive to the Drone X2MAX, users can select tracking-only plans that optimize the mobile app experience for tracking customers. Prices starting at $11.99/month.
  4. Multi-vehicle discounts – For DroneMobile accounts with 10 or more vehicles, subscriptions will be renewable at a 10% discount. All vehicles must be active with a GPS-enabled subscription to be eligible.

Firstech also improved the DroneMobile app and website.The DroneMobile App now shows vehicle heading to indicate a moving vehicle’s general direction.

Vehicles can be assigned to “groups” allowing for quick filtering of the vehicles shown on the map. Breadcrumbing frequency has been improved for Premium Plus and Ultimate subscribers at no additional cost.

The DroneMobile.com website also offers an improved Control Center for fleet managers using desktop/tablet devices for monitoring multiple vehicles simultaneously. In future updates, users will be able to export reports on the safety and health of their fleets.
