    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet and exceed corporate sales goals.

    Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

    Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs.

    Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.

    Knowledge of aftermarket car electronic products and installation services with an understanding of Alpine’s sales, marketing, and product strategies.

    Experience working with various non-traditional car audio channels such as expeditors, car dealerships, etc.

    Advises dealers, distributors, and other customers concerning sales and advertising techniques to enhance their business.

    An understanding of the differences between selling through a direct sales force and selling through an independent sales organization; the ability to implement annual reviews of independent representative organizations.

    Delivers sales presentations to key customers in coordination with sales representatives.

    Meets with key customers, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

    Forward-thinking with the ability to analyze results and then articulate recommendations that address both company and customer needs.

    Professional communications skills, both written and spoken, as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.

    A strong work ethic must be persistent, can work well independently and in a team setting, has the leadership ability to coordinate and implement regional/territory initiatives; adept at follow-up.

    Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.

    Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

    Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

    Prepares monthly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

    Attends corporate sales meetings and training to discuss sales strategies, company objectives, and goals.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years of sales management experience in the consumer electronics industry.
