Senior Product Manager – Automotive Electronic Integration Products

AAMP Global, designer and manufacturer of aftermarket and OEM vehicle technology, is looking for an Senior Product Manager to join its global high-performance integration team.

The Senior Product Manager of Automotive Electronic Integration Products is a strategic role that is owned by a market expert capable of identifying market opportunities and articulating the customer problem and product solution to the organization.

Within the Integration Products Division, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the assigned product lines including product mix, line evaluation, product development and project management. This position is focused on driving strategy, positioning, and value for the product line while ensuring project performance to plan. The Senior Product Manager supports the growth plan for the division through effective execution of the product plan, and anticipation of industry needs. This position reports to the VP/GM of Integration Products.

Your day-to-day responsibilities…

• Plan, design, and develop new products and business opportunities

• Manage the entire product line from strategic planning to tactical activities

• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market and customer research

• Define product requirements to be implemented by engineering organization

• Work closely with customers, sales representatives and business development units to identify new opportunities

• Develop business plans, including financial and/or strategic justifications for products, product lines and larger portfolio

• Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute

• Perform routine product line, sales and profitability performance reviews including cost, price and lifecycle evaluations

• Seek potential partner relationships for additional product opportunities and synergies

• Manage projects to a successful completion

What you will need…

• Ability to look beyond the standard solutions to create a product that is within budget, on-time, and in demand

• Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners within and outside of the US

• Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines

• Decision making experience demonstrating appropriate balance between thoughtful research and need for timeliness

• Strong technical acumen and methodical problem-solving ability

• Working knowledge of the automotive electronics industry and aftermarket car audio/entertainment systems market

• Experience with overseas vendors and the ability to lead cross-functional teams

• Ability to travel overseas • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or greater than five years applicable experience
