Spectator attendance was up and TV news reported theĀ  largest spring break attendance in over 5 years. New exhibitors included Alphard Sound Technology from Russia, Crescendo and X-Fire, said show founder and promoter Paul Papadeas.

The show’s Pro Audio section was so large and loud the Ocean Center had to remove light bulbs from fixtures as they were unscrewing themselves, said Papadeas.

Pro Audio filled 50,000 square feet of exhibit hall under the name SPL “DEMOPALOOZA.”

Spring Break Nationals includes a trade expo attended this year by Cerwin-Vega, Accele, Alphard Audio, Arc Audio, Audiopipe, Beyma America, Crescendo, DD Audio, Diamond Audio, DS 18, Focal/Orca, Hybrid Technologies, Installer Institute, JL Audio, K&A Kustom Graffix, Kenwood, McLaren, Metra, Next Level, Ocala Customs, Orion, X-Fire, PRV, Riding Clean, RNR Wheels, and UAF.

Car audio trade seminars and dealer education sessions were led by Larry Fredrick of Diamond Audio, Nick Wingate from Orca (Focal, Illusion and Mosconi), Kevin Holder of DD Audio, Steve Turrisi from JL Aidio and Brian Mitchell (Liquid Trends) of ARC Audio.
