VOXX (Audiovox) said its Advent brand of car radio has added a plug and play navigation interface for select 2014-2015 Ford MyFord Touch radios.
It lets dealers easily add navigation to factory radios with no modifications to the radio.
The Ford Nav Black Box interface works with factory Ford radio screens to add iGo navigation with a “latest map guarantee.”
It includes HDMI inputs to mirror apps from a smartphone onto the radio screen. And it charges the phone.
The interface is updateable and upgradeable. It can also display vehicle information such as fuel economy, door open/close and door lock/unlock.
The Advent Ford Nav Black Box will be available mid-January 2015.
Advent products are on display at the CES Show this week at Central Hall Booth 10417 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
