VOXX (Audiovox) officially introduced its new lane departure warning system and early crash warning system last month as we reported, but we learned a few new details.
Users get control of the volume settings for warnings when you are drifting out of your lane or approaching the car ahead too quickly, which is a handy feature to keep from annoying, unwanted alerts.
The system also includes a DVR for a total system price of $699.99 suggested retail price. VOXX also says the LDWS100, works in nearly any car with simple installation.
Some other newly released specs: it uses an 8GB Micro SD card for up to 4 hours of recording time (and can support up to 32GB). It uses loop recording so you don’t run out of memory. It comes with a free playback program for Windows compatible computers that integrates stored GPS data showing time, place, and speed on a map overlay as well as seeing what was recorded.
