Rydeen Mobile Electronics said it has expanded the number of replacement mirror systems compatible with its MultiMount series. The MV331S and MV331T rear view mirrors with built-in monitors are now shipping.
They replace earlier models and match with one of several mounting stems to fit almost any vehicle.
“Instead of stocking a mirror for every small set of applications, they can just stock different stems and match them to a single SKU,” said Jim Newell, national sales manager.
The MV331S ($185.00 MSRP) series has a 3.5-inch TFT color monitor that connects to either a Rydeen or aftermarket rear view camera. The monitor turns on automatically to provide a behind-the-vehicle view, and the screen disappears behind the mirror surface when off to avoid distraction. At a width of 10 ¼ inches, the MV331S series fits most vehicles with no loss of rear viewing capability.
The MV331T ($260.00 MSRP) has all of the same features and adds a temperature and compass display in the upper right-hand corner. The MV331T comes with internal compass and external wired temperature sensor.
Both units can be purchased separately or as a package with one of several OEM-grade Rydeen cameras, including the MINy, MINy HD, MINy LED, DUO, custom Ford Cam.
