Pioneer announced 8 new in-dash CD receivers for part of its 2014 lineup.

They include new Android control via a USB connection, Siri Eyes Free for iPhone, and  simplified Bluetooth pairing.

Pioneer now supports a USB connection to the radio for Android phones as well as iPhones and USB drives. The Android phone can now be controlled by the radio for basic functions such as play/pause, FF/Rew/random/repeat via a USB cable. It also allows a display of song/artist/album and time info.

Pioneer also introduced a unique auto pairing feature  for Bluetooth. Users connect an iPhone to the receiver via USB and it automatically prompts the user to confirm pairing.

Also, with Bluetooth and Siri Eyes Free, users get voice control to select and play music, compare text messages, get map information and other features including placing calls.
