Five car audio suppliers including Atrend, HushMat, Avidworx, Audiomobile, and Zapco will exhibit collectively during the CES show in January at a hotel suite in what they call a “Car Audio Retail Solutions Show.”
Other companies are welcome to join the “show” that focuses on car audio products and accessories and retail displays.
HushMat Founder Tim McCarthy said, the group may add rooms to accommodate additional companies. “We’re trying to get accessory type companies that are non-competing brands. We’re open to other suppliers joining.”
The event will be held at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas from January 10-12 in Jazz D Room on the Mezzanine Level. Hours run into the evenings, from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
A shuttle will be provided every hour beginning at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to and from the Palms and the Renaissance Hotel Lobby (adjacent to the LVCC Monorail Station).
Rockford Fosgate is also exhibiting at the Palms during CES, in the Palms Ballroom.
Products on display will include speaker enclosures, sound insulation, retailer displays, woofers, and accessories.
McCarthy added, “We’re open until 8 or 9 at night. There’s refreshments and cocktails. It will be a relaxing environment for business to business discussions.”

Hello John,
Thanks for your feedback, i think it was great. Regarding not exhibiting at CES this year, we felt that it was in our best interest. Having exhibited at CES for the past 7 years, we have seen the downward progression. It seems like a big car show to us with the 12volt exhibit area decreasing every year. We will try something different this year and hope it gives us as much success as it does for first tier manufacturers such as Kicker, Rockford, etc.
Regarding coming by, let me know, I will come grab you in my rental car..NOOOO problem at all.
Thank you,
Hey John…congrats on your move, by the way.
Yes, I know that their space is sold out NOW for anyone trying to join the floor. Earlier in the year would have been different, but I appreciate your situation.
It’s possible that my morning coffee hadn’t kicked in and I was feeling grumpy, but this is just another of a trend that has been developing for the past 5-10 years. We feel strongly that it is not good for the dealers, or the industry, to fracture the main showcase for the mobile dealers. As a buyer, it is extremely inconvenient to have to schedule time away from the convention center, which is why we typically don’t do it.
Just an opinion, but good luck with your event.

Terrible.
The Consumer Electronics Show was, and is supposed to be, a \"one-stop shop\" for the retailers. Many vendors have chosen to go to off-site hotel suites so they can ride on the wave of people without paying for a floor booth. This causes their CUSTOMERS to be forced to either pass (which we do) or leave the show floor for a 3-4 hour round-trip journey. Not only is that terrible service to their customers who made the effort to attend the largest show for our industry, but is really kind of cheating the process. Now a group of 3rd-tier manufacturers are going to stage their own show?
One long-time industry veteran described this as being \"barnacles riding on the show\". I think that\’s a great description. We attend the SHOW. I would hope that all mobile electronics manufacturers can make an effort to be at the SHOW in the future, and I applaud all of those who consistently are there to meet and greet customers, both new and old.
