A leading Chicago area retailer, Abt Electronics, said it added Dual Electronics’ Axxera, and Bazooka to its car electronics mix to expand its offering at all price levels.
Abt runs a 65,000 square foot showroom in Glenview, IL and an online store and claims to be the top single-store appliance retailer in the country. It carries 5,000 products, and it delivers to four states, it said.
The retailer said it will carry Axxera’s scar radios as well as Bazooka bass tube amplified speakers. Although it already carried PAC (Premier Accessory Group) car accessories in the store, it added the brand to its online store.
“We’re adding niche brands. We want to service everyone from the guys that want to throw me 10 bucks, to the guy who wants to spend 100 grand,” said department manager John Samp.
The store also carries brands including Alpine, JL Audio, Focal, Sony, Pioneer, and Kenwood. It has a dozen install bays, 9 installers and 8 sales people in the car audio department.
Other new brands recently added by the retailer in categories beyond car electronics include Dell computers and Kingston memory and storage devices, as well as products from Drobo, InCase, Fagor, New West KnifeWorks and Zoku.
