Dual Re-Enters In-Dash Navigation

Dual Electronics Corporation announced it has re-entered the in-dash navigation category with a new receiver at a price of $249.99.

The new in-dash DVN927BT navigation deck joins 8 other new head units and amplifiers from Dual for 2017 that will be on display Thursday at CES in the North Hall Booth 3721.

The in-dash DVN927BT has built-in iGo maps and Bluetooth with external mic, as well as front USB input with charging (1A), microSD card input, back up camera input and steering wheel control. The DVN927BT will be available in January.

Other new Dual products include three multimedia receivers, two CD receivers, two mechless digital media receivers and two amplifiers.

A new multimedia DV637MB (without navigation) at a suggested $159.99 includes 2-way DualMirror technology for smartphone mirroring onto the radio screen. This also includes radio control over Android phones only.   The DV637MB has Bluetooth and front panel USB for playback and charging as well as an 8-band EQ and 4V preamp outputs.  It will be available in February.

Dual also offers a WiFi dongle, DMH25, to wirelessly connect a smartphone to the head unit. The dongle plugs into the HDMI and USB inputs on the back of the receiver and communicates with any smartphone using WiFi Direct.

Dual mechless (CDless) head units for 2017 start at $39.99 suggested retail price and CD players start at $59.99 for the DC207BT with Bluetooth audio streaming and front panel USB. A double DIN CD player, model DXDM227BT will be available in January at $69.99.
